I've been accepted to Glasgow, Liverpool, Midwestern, and am waiting on a decision from Edinburgh following my interview 4 weeks ago. If I don't get into Edinburgh than my choice is easy; Glasgow. Any alumni here who can tell me more about Glasgow vs Edinburgh? I was able to speak to an Edinburgh new grad who said that she loved the program overall, but that she didn't feel well prepared in the surgery department. Surgery is a particular interest of mine, which makes me apprehensive about the Edinburgh program. I really like the structure that Glasgow has set up in general, but can anybody attest to their surgical teaching? Would I be able to get additional instruction through EMS? What are some of your EMS adventures?
How is the housing situation? I'm 27 years old so I don't really want to live in a dorm, however student apartments would be fine. I would also be open to moving in with another student.
Any additional insight into either program is also appreciated.

Update: I got accepted to Edinburgh! I think I have decided on Glasgow though. I am intrigued by their program and was already leaning in that direction. Edinburgh gave me a conditional offer, which I would be hard pressed to meet at this point. I'm happy I got in but I'm glad the conditions made this decision easier.
