Raw intelligence is definitely nowhere near the top five skills you need to do well in medical school. Does it help with all the other stuff, absolutely.
In order of importance I'd say it's hard work, hard work, hard work, priorities and efficiency.
I disagree. I would actually put efficiency above hard work and raw intelligence does help a lot - it allows you to put less time in - easier to adapt, quicker to pick up stuff, better at taking tests etc.
Everyone pretty much works hard in med school, people just have different opinions on what working hard is. Saying hard work 3 times overemphasizes the amount of work needed to be done and implies people need to work near max capacity all the time to succeed.
