Program-Specific Info / Q's EKU

I'm not sure what avenue they use, but honestly I had forgotten that I even applied there. They give acceptances about a month before classes start! I'm already signed up for classes in another program and remembered that EKU still hadn't given a response. :/ Good luck to you though!
 
Thanks @TennesseeOT 🙂 I have been checking my mail/email like crazy waiting for a response. They said we would know by June 1st, but since that is a Sunday I am hoping we will know this week!
 
@OGB I suppose I should email them and pull my application so they don't waste their time on me and can focus on other people 🙂. Hopefully you hear something good soon!
 
@OGB I got my acceptance via email today. Check yours! I did turn down my acceptance though. I just wanted to let you know that they have at least started the process.

Last 60 GPA: 3.92
Prerequisite GPA: 4.0
I had about 50 hour of observation in pediatric and school settings. I also was an elementary school teacher for three years, Girls on the Run coach, and middle school volleyball coach.

Last 50 hr GPA: 3.7-ish
GRE: quant- 155; verbal- 151; writing- 4.5
Observation hours: 45 inpatient & 15 in school/special population setting
Extra curricular: Panhellenic sorority member & chairwoman
Work Experience: special needs swim instructor & Special Olympics coach

Applied: UTC, UTenn Health Science Center, TSU, and Eastern Kentucky Univ.
Accepted: UTC, UTHSC, & EKU

My stats aren't phenomenal, but they got the job done. I think my acceptances had a lot to do with my references, interviews, and essays.
 
I recognize no one has posted on this thread in a while but is anyone applying to EKU's transition program for 2015 and still waiting to hear back? The website says we'd hear by June 1st and when I spoke to someone last week they said we'd hear on June 1st but I haven't heard a thing. Is this their way of saying I'm not in? I don't understand what's taking so long.

I also applied for the Transition year for Fall 2015 and have not heard anything back yet... Any word yet for you?

I heard back yesterday morning and got in! 😀 I hope you got some good news! If so, let me know!
