Just want to make sure both of these methods work given two reduction potentials of a redox rxn.
Method 1: Rewrite the half reaction for the thing being oxidized (change the sign on the redox half rxn given) and add the values for each rxn. So you have reduction potential plus oxidation potential.
Method 2: Keep both half reaction potentials written as is (typically as reduction potential) and subtract anode from cathode.
Right?
