Hey everyone. I was looking over Elon's DPT program for perquisites and its very different from most schools. I was hoping someone who has applied there could give me insight or could reassure me that I am reading this correctly.

Directly from Elon's website for admission requirements

a. 6 Science Courses (3-credit hour course or higher with lab)
The applicant must have 6 natural and/or life science courses selected from the following: Biology, Chemistry, Human Anatomy/Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Pathology and/or Physics.
b. 1 Psychology Course (3-credit hour course or higher)
It is preferred that this course is from the psychology department, but an upper level course from another department may be acceptable.

My question is about the science courses. If I am reading this correctly does this mean I can pick and choose and use my best grades as long as they full fill the requirement as a natural or life science course?

I had this exact question when I was applying over the summer. I emailed them and asked and this was their response to me: "The science prerequisites are like a checkbox – you need at least 6, but we don’t run a prerequisite GPA. Instead, we run an overall science GPA which includes all science courses, not just prerequisites. So, if you took 10 science courses, then all 10 would be in your Elon overall science GPA."
I was still a little confused but applied anyways. I received an interview but ultimately turned it down. Hope this helps you!

Thank you! That was helpful. So I along with the overall science GPA they also calculate the prerequisite GPA? Or is that completely irrelevant.

I believe it is irrelevant. There is only the overall science gpa and then a cumulative undergrad gpa.
