EM LOR question

Do all EM LORs have to be in the SLOR format?

Did anyone from previous years send regular LOR from EM faculty?

If you worked closely with EM faculty, and they offered to write you a letter, and the clerkship director is not available, should I ask for a SLOR from them? or a normal LOR? Plus the actual clerkship director is on sabbatical for 3 months so...

Looking at the SLORs, they seem more suitable for letters from clerkship directors or program directors.

any advise?

seems like another posting addresses this question.

If you were wondering like me, it seems that past applicants have asked non academic, or non director/coordinator attendings for SLORS as well, which were accepted by programs, but seemed to be viewed with a little less weight.
