MS3 here, about to start my EM rotation next week. I have an interest in EM and want to do well. Any suggestions of books, videos, or lectures to listen to that you found helpful during your EM rotation?
I highly recommend the M3 and M4 curriculum on the CDEM website. It's free and walks you through the thought process, questions to ask, ddx, and workup of common ED complaints.
I liked the EM clerkship, EMBasic, and CoreEM podcasts and found them appropriate. I would listen to them in that order as I felt that they each bridge a gap in knowledge base.
Introduction to Clinical Emergency Medicine was a good textbook especially for topic reading. In hindsight I feel that this is the type of resource to "read through as fast as you can" rather than take detailed notes as the focus is more on helping you "think like an EM doc" than it is on anything else.
