email asking for LOR: how does this sound?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It sounds a little weird to me. How well does your professor know you?

"I believe that you're aware (does that sound weird?) through my participation and performance in your course that I am a motivated student, and I think you possess a unique point of view from which to describe my sincere interest in the subject to scholarship and admissions committees."

Lol dont say that 👎

Why are you emailing this professor? If you feel comfortable enough, you should approach him. If not, then I doubt the LOR is worthwhile.

LOR's are one of those things that I have always felt that you should ask in person. Even if they agree through an e-mail, that doesn't show that you care about your professors. You want them to remember you and like you, so that they may write you a better LOR. These profs. are already busy a lot of times. So maybe you should try to ask in person.
