email from UCSF and USC?? Mailing date 7/9/2010

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone received email back from UCSF and USC.
I have gotten majority of the secondaries/email back from them saying they received my application except for these two, which are like my top choices.

your input will be really appreciated it!!

i got my 2ndary email from UCSF mailed out early July.

i think considering that UCSF has a 17 cut offs for each DAT section, of course they would wait until your score is in. Call and check with them.. if they accept faxed score send it, if not u might have to wait until ur DAT is sent out.

Yeah i was getting worried about those two schools too since I received secondaries from LLU and UCLA already. Dunno about UCSF they probably only send it after your entire application is complete, since my DAT scores don't get mailed out until this friday. I know USC for sure has not started on the applications yet and they don't have a secondary either theyll probably just tell you to come to an interview based on aadsas app.

I think it's my DAT score then. I took my DAT for the first time on 7/28
so maybe that's why there's a delay.

Hey shiftypoptart, how long did AADSAS took to upload your DAT score?
i'm worried about my apps now. I hope they update the score soon on AADSAS website.

Did anyone try calling UCSF??

probably gunna give a call up to UCSF tomorrow, im almost positive the DAT minimum req is whats holding up my app and hopefully they accept the unofficial fax to at least send me the secondary to start working on it.

For your question, it took exactly two weeks for AADSAS to receive my score, then they send it out the next friday mailout day. I called western and they said it takes about another 2-3weeks for the actual schools to receive the scores after AADSAS has mailed them out. I dunno why the process takes so long lol.

i called today and lady said they won't accept the unofficial transcript untill they have the score online 🙁 they said they refresh the site every monday.
did u call them too? if you did were they nice about it?

so when ur score was available on ADEA website, does it also says the mailing date too?

Yeah I finally got my secondary today guess they dont need to actually have to receive the score in the mail, they just need to see on aadsas which still takes about 2-3weeks for them to receive from when you take it. But definitely the DAT score minimum req was what was holding it back.

Are you sure they have 17 cut off for each dat section? I am not too sure that is true. Where did you read or hear that from? The website says a 17 in AA TS and PAT but not all sections

They dont have a 17 cut off in every section but they do in AA, TS and PAT

Also they want you to have a science gpa above 2.9> or they automatically deny you. This is not fact but from past experiences of people.

i have a question for you. so u took ur DAT on 7/14, so was ur score available on the 7/28 and you got ur secondaries this week? that was pretty fast! so probably ucsf refreshed the site to get the your score online?? so it doesn't take another 2-3 weeks to process the score for each school? if you could clarify that it would be great! I took mine on 7/28 so hoping that my dat score will be on AADSAS by next wed! arg.

As for USC, I was waiting for their secondary too, but I saw online that I needed to send out the processing fee first. So I just sent out the check yesterday. I got the secondary from UCLA on the same day as when the AADSAS was sent out.

Schools are getting busy now with orientations for new students... They are going to be delayed nowadays... See how there were no crazy active updates from everyone for past 2 weeks? Call the schools and they will tell you exactly what i am telling you! You have very high gpa and dat, being a week early is not gonna kill you.... you'll get in... go out to club and party with the ladies instead of being at home refreshing your e-mail every 30 seconds. it's friday for god sakes...

Yeah never really called them since the day I was going to I received the secondary so im only thinking that the lack of DAT score to check min req was what was holding it back, but you got my timeline right. Took 14th, addsas posted it on 28th, I received my secondary on the 3rd, then my scores were finally mailed today on the 6th and I finally mailed my secondary out today. Make sure you follow the instructions when you get it though, they are super strict. But yeah lets hope ADA hurries up for you =D.
