I liked Emory and am planning on ranking it relatively highly, but I can't help being bothered by the fact that they haven't had Uptodate for a year at all of the hospitals except for the VA. They have been using DynaMed instead. I'm unfamiliar with DynaMed, so I was wondering if anyone here has used it and could offer their 2 cents on it?

Thanks!

not a bad consideration, but by no means should access to uptodate change your ROL!

if you must have uptodate, just pay the $300 or so a year. thats what i do. i've been subscribing to uptodate since medical school. i'm not at emory but one of the hospitals in my program also only has dynamed.

Seriously? That sucks.

again, random question, but just curious if anyone knows how is at&t vs verizon at Grady, the VA, and emory hospital?

AT&T is particularly bad in Atlanta. Verizon has strong service throughout the city. I myself am an AT&T iPhone guy but if I matched in Atlanta I'd have to rethink that.

I've lived in ATL for 6 years and never had a problem with AT&T.

My family lives near N Druid Hills and Lavista and I get 1 bar or less at their house. When I interviewed at Emory I also had spotty 3G service. I'm glad you've avoided the same problems.

It's kinda trendy to bash AT&T and their network, however I have never had any problems (except in Atlanta).
