Emory program

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It is a good program. You will see all kinds of cases and will definately be prepared when you leave. Life is good as a resident. Most of the time you are out by 3-5pm unless you are designated late. Call is call. Can be busy but this is where you really learn.

emory was fun. definitely learned alot and everybody has passed their boards in the past couple of years with ease. definitely resident friendly.

i always thought you would get good training wherever you go (except for small podunk places) but was amazed by what we were exposed to. and we only average 50-60 hrs per week including a call. i feel a little guilty when i talk to other cohorts and hear how nasty their residency was........of course they say it was necessary to "learn".......i call BS as you're not learning when doing your umteenth AV fistula of the day at 3am 😉

oh yeah, at Emory, anesthesia runs the board, not surgery
