Sweet, and its easy too!

Yeah, not much to write at all.

Questions:

1. Do APs count towards reqs?

2. How many semester hours in an academic year? 8?

Thanks

I don't know about AP classes but I have 8 hours of general biology etc so that's what I'm putting.

When it comes to the premedical committee letter they say to write the advisor's name, then institution, then title.
What do they want for title?

Emory has such a nice campus (At least that's what it seems like on their school's web site), plus they have automatic admission to MD/MPH, how perfect is that? 🙂

And yea, the secondary is a piece of cake

Megalofiya...what they want for Title is probably Doctor or Dean...either one should do...like mine is a Dr but we all say Dean...so it can be either or IMO

Thanks - that's what I was thinking but I just wasn't possitive.

This is highly intriguing....is there any information online about this? Or any more information you could tell me?

it says on the website

"MPH candidates must submit an essay describing their interest in public health."

so i think you have to appy as MD/MPH

you can't just apply MD and then say you want MPH too

am i wrong in assuming this?

From what i gathered during my grad studies, if you get into the emory md program you can decide on doing an mph later on after you have matriculated and get into the school of public health with little to no hassle. most med students do this either between 2nd and 3rd or 3rd and 4th year of med school.

Well, if you apply as MD/MPH, you'll still screened together with the regular MD applicants. There's an extra 500 word limit essay about your interest in public health, which in my opinion is not hard.

Any MD/MPH accepted to the MD program will be accepted to the MPH portion as well. (The way I interpreted it is that: If your MPH essay is strong, it can only HELP your chance of getting in. This is also the only place where you can talk alot about yourself. The other normal essay questions only have 100 word limits)

I basically used the MPH essay I wrote for Northwestern's MD/MPH

Finally, the strongest thing about Emory is its proximity to CDC, the Carter Center, CARE international, etc. These are all good places for internship in the public health field.

Is anyone having probs with the Emory link? I am getting some weirdo error.

Lux,

Yea, I am getting a problem, it's some sort of database command error.

I am also having trouble with the Emory app. Has someone sent an email informing them of the problem? I'm assuming that they'll be have a ton of angry applicants sending them emails over the weekend and fix it first thing Monday...
