Both are good schools so you cant go wrong here. I would not really focus on ranking since they are both up there. I'd go with Cornell. Being able to use public transportation is helpful. NYC is a packed full of everything.

I think Emory has its plus with weather though but ultimately I would not want to live with a car during medical school since that adds to COL.

See if you get into Cornell and attend second look for each. They're both great schools, but the settings are so drastically different that I think you'll end up making the decision based on that.
