ABMS/ABEM voted to approve EMS as a new subspecialty certification! First exam probably in 2 years. Apparently it will be open to other specialties but the fellowship must be affiliated with an approved EM residency.

I'm not sure I understand what this fellowship would train someone to do. EMS agency medical director ?
