I'm currently a D3 dental student and have recently become more interested in pursuing Endo. I'm trying to estimate my chances of getting into Endo along with what would be required of me to do so. I realize I most likely will take a year or so after graduation before getting in, because I'm behind the game in preparing for applications coming up this summer and building my resume (and it seems more typical anyway). I am currently in the top 36% of my class with a GPA of 3.69. I don't have super strong relationships with the endo faculty at my school, but would definitely be something I would work on. How good are my chances at getting into Endo? What things should I prioritize to improve my chances?

My ideas thus far:
- I would build rapport with my endo faculty.
- I plan on practicing RCT after clinic hours to build my skills and show my faculty my dedication.
- I will shadow more endo in my area.
- I could try and do endo related research.

Yes I believe that, I would just like to improve my chances of getting in sooner.

most important is you need to work on that class and gpa. try to get involved in endo research w faculty/residents thats how you build connections and try to publish. try to get involved in the endo club, and if you did well in the predoc endo class try to be a ta for it
