So I've done a bunch of world questions on endocarditis, and things are getting a little jumbled. Is this correct:
Subacute bacterial endocarditis in non-IV drug abuser (most commonly with mitral valve prolapse)- you'll hear mitral regurgitation
Subacute bacterial endocarditis in IV drug abuser- you'll hear tricuspid regurg
Subacute bacterial endocarditis in patient with history of rheumatic fever- you'll hear mitral stenosis most commonly?

Am I thinking right? I know for rheumatic heart disease, you can have either mitral stenosis or regurg, but stenosis is supposed to be the most common, yes? Thanks for your help!

I'd say yea. IE ontop of Rheumatic heart diessease results in MS. Would you state please most common organisms responsible for IE if ontop of normal or diseased valve? I know in case of IV drug use is Staph.A.

Thanks
