hi everybody,
um, actually i am an engineer and came from turkey and want to be a doc in us. but i am 27. it would be great if you help me in my questions. i wanna know wheather i have chances or not. and i want to say that i really want it. what should i do if i have 😀

I shadowed a doc from Canada who was an engineer. Don't know much about any specific difficulties he had in the transition from engineer to med school, but I do know that he was a strong advocate of the early decision process and making contacts with schools prior to applying. Hope this helps a little!

You probably need to take courses that are needed for pre-med. such as Organic Chemistry. Also, you will have to begin preping for the MCAT and doing medically related volunteer work. Good luck!

engineering is a great background to have for medicine. check out the resources on this site telling what all you have to do to apply to med school or see if you can meet with some sort of pre-med advisor at a college nearby.
