Hi everyone,

I am currently working an Engineering Co-Op at a chemical plant(ChemE), I will have worked around 1200 hours by the time I go back to school in the fall. How does this look for my app? Also I plan to put it as a most meaningful, partly because it has shown me that I cannot do engineering for the rest of my life and prefer medicine for a variety of reasons(more personal connections, more impact, shorter stimulus to response(in surgery at least)). Would writing about this experience as something that showed me that engineering is not for me be good, or should I focus solely on why medicine is for me?

Also I should definitely get a rec letter from my mentor at my job correct?

ould writing about this experience as something that showed me that engineering is not for me be good, or should I focus solely on why medicine is for me?

I suggest writing about both, with evidence to show show your interest in Medicine, such as lots of patient contact experience.

You don't *need* a LOR from the supervisor of your coop. I do think that it is better to have two science and one non-science (humanities or social science) letter. I would not trust the engineers to write informative letters.
