English/composition requirement

There is a course called Environmental Studies that counts as physical science credits but it is regarded as com B, which is a composition class.

Do you think dental schools regard that course as composition?

And another question that I have is whether literature courses (like Shakespeare) count as the requirement...

I know that Western only took composition classes that were from an English department last year... really irritating since it didn't count any of my upper division Bio writing classes. Also, not sure on the Shakespeare, call some schools you're interested and ask, it could go either way.
