I have an important question. Many med schools require a certain number of english hours and some schools say the must or should be from the english dept. However, at my college 4 of my credits are from the Writing Studies Dept. which covers all types of non-creative writing. (Our English Dept. covers Literature study courses and creative writing courses) Would the Writing Studies course be counted as english hours?

I'm only replying because you appear to be a Radiohead fan 🙂. I would wager that credits from a 'writing studies' department would be counted under you english req for medical school. I've never heard of a medical school requesting that an applicant take a particular type of english class, therefore I would suppose that just about any writing class would meet the req. Of course there is no way to be absolutely positive without contacting the schools themselves.
