when schools say 6 semester units of eglish are required is that the same as 2 classes, 4 units each??just wondering if i have to take another english class or if i'm ok

It does not matter how many credit individual class is as long as it adds up to 6 or more than 6.4units each of english will make 8 credit hours which is more than the minimum required.
