Just got my GPA verified this morning, and I have to say that was super fast!

As you guys were reviewing your verified GPAs, did you notice that they changed the courses you designated as "English" to "Non-science"? If you did, did you contact ADEA? I know they give a list of example courses that would be considered as "English", but couldn't writing intensive classes - within reason - that deal with a specific topic be considered that as well?

In your opinion, do you guys think this will cause problems when d.schools begin reviewing my app and notice I don't have any "english" designations?

I think this may depend on the school.

In a big red box above my verified GPA chart it says this: "No English GPA will be calculated. English courses are calculated as part of your Non-Science GPA." So I would think that you should be fine.

Yep, I knew there weren't separate calculations for English courses. Did you check to see though if any of the courses you designated as "English" were changed to "non-science"?

Mine were maintained as 'English' rather than being changed. I wouldn't worry too much about this though if I were you.

You think so? (in reference to not having to worry about this) I only ask because I know some schools, like UMDNJ, won't even look at you until all pre-reqs are completed. I just didn't want to be disqualified so soon 🙁.

Was yours kept because the prefix was an abbreviation for english, e.g. ENG?

I'm contemplating if this is an issue worth contacting ADEA about, but it doesn't seem like it is?

Sorry I misunderstood. I checked and mine are still designated as "English." Not sure if it will be a big deal or not though. Maybe try calling AADSAS and ask why they changed?

No worries!

Hmmm.. did the courses you designated as english have "ENG" as a prefix, or something along those lines? I'm thinking that's part of the reason why they took the english designation off, and the course title isn't really english-y.

thanks for checking btw!
