Hi Gang,

Quick question, can someone give me the name of the airway classification used by ENT? I was given a Class 4 (or Stage 4) but was told by surgeon it wasn't Mallampati when I asked, "similar scale though."

Strangely, couldn't find on google.

Anyone know the name I'm searching for?

Thanks

(note: not asking for medical advice here, just name of a classification system).

Thanks Lord,

I thought CL system was chords during laryngoscope?
This system was "open your mouth normally" and assessing
Soft palate, tongue etc yet was explained as (100%) not mallampati.

i dont know, he/she may have a term for it, but this is Mallampati classification to an anesthesiologist. CL does apply to "Grades" of laryngoscopic view and using the terminology without performing laryngoscopy is probably inaccurate.
