Hello!
I am looking to pursue a master's program and am having quite a bit of trouble deciding. Firstly, I hope to be primarily a clinician, but a clinician-researcher, so what I pursue I hope can work with being a clinician. I am interested in epidemiology/data science, but I've always loved computer science and in a second degree, I thought this would be a good opportunity to pursue something. My ideal master's degree would have big data analysis + some ability to causally show something (aka basic science included), which I know is done in some labs, but because it seems too interdisciplinary, I feel like I'm just bouncing between all these interests and can't put my finger on which one would be best for me. I think this is in part because I don't know enough about epidemiology/data science or bioinformatics, which is making it hard for me to picture how I would fit. I was wondering if:
1. Someone could give me some insight into these fields?
2. How someone who came from basic sciences made the decision (or didn't) to switch into "dry lab"?
3. If there is one of these that would be "best" for medical school/the medical field in future?
4. If there's a possibility to pursuing bioinformatics or data science with not as much computer science experience as those with computer science majors/minors, etc.?

Any help would be much appreciated! (ps. the due dates are later for me because I'm Canadian)
