If equivalent weight is given by taking the molar mass divided by n (# of particles produced), then why is the equivalent weight given in grams? Molar mass over n, which is unitless, gives you g/mol, NOT grams. Thanks.

You are confusing the n of gas law with the n of stoichiometry. THIS LINK has a pretty thorough yet simple explanation for each "different" gram equivalent weight you may see on test day.

Hope this helps, good luck!
