ER vs Grey's Anatomy?

Which one do you prefer (if any)?

I like the old ER and miss the good old days. Still watch ER but it's the not the same. Grey's is so hypersensationalized that it's almost too disgusting to watch. I say "almost" because I still watch it every single Thurs! 😳

What about you guys?
 
I watched ER the first few seasons. I never watched Grey's Anatomy. Isn't it just a night-time soap set in a hospital?

Grey's - hand's down...

Sure it's a soap opera, but it's so damn good!!!

There has been a pharmacist on House though....he got yelled at cause he was filling House's vicodin too slow. haha
 
I watch both. Grey's is entertainment - nothing more. Then I change channels to watch ER - which is entertaining, but more "medical". I don't think ER is as good as it used to be either, but I think it's improved a little this season over last.

If Grey's is ever put in the same timeslot as ER - I'll stick with ER.
 
As a guy it's hard to admit that I watch grey's, but it's a show designed for you to relate to everyone on there...there's a part of me that's a total dick like alex, a part that's totally awkward like o'malley, and a part that's totally automaton like yang.

A lot of my nursing friends hate it though because they always hate on RNs.

I agree that the medicine is totally ridiculous but it's TV. At least they're not shocking asystole...afaik.

So after I posted that earlier, I started re-watching the episode online. I didn't get to finish because I had to go to class, but what I saw was good. Maybe I'll like it better when I get to rewatch the entire thing.

I thought the "cliffhanger" wasn't much of one though. That's probably not going to change.

What's your favorite part of the show?
 
House is the best show on TV. I don't care that House gave ethanol to a guy that drank methanol a week after he ingested it and it still worked as an antidote. Whoopity do. I don't expect TV to be made specifically for health professionals. It's a great, character driven series that cracks me up.

I agree, the cliffhanger wasn't all that exciting! THere's noway they'll let Meredith die and we all know that. :laugh:

I really thought the part with Addison and company in the elevator was hilarious. I didn't really notice the Chief's hair was different. 🙄 I also think anytime Sydney (overly happy resident) is around that it's hilarious, she's too funny! The best part for me though, was just the whole thing and how overwhelmed the interns were to be seeing all that stuff for the first time. I thought it was a great episode! I do think it will probably be better if you can watch it all at the same time. I'm looking forward to next week!

They may not let Meredith die, but maybe she'll be in the water so long that she'll suffer hypoxia induced brain damage. She'll be institutionalized with her mother and her former colleagues will come by every once and a while and dress her up in embarassingly stupid costumes. Now THAT would be a plot twist.

I chose the wrong career...

I hate Scrubs - the sound of that inane theme song brings me from the other end of the house to change the channel. I tried to watch one of the reruns a few weeks ago and just couldn't make it through.

I love Grey's Anatomy and Scrubs. BUT i think grey's is kinda getting out there..and i think I do not like Grey's character, she is kinda me me me! But i still love Alex and McDreamy 🙂 🙂
