This may be a stupid question, do we pay twice by applying to the same program (ex. anesthesia) for their advanced and categorical positions, or just once?

This may be a stupid question, do we pay twice by applying to the same program (ex. anesthesia) for their advanced and categorical positions, or just once?

I had the same exact question this morning, but when i selected my programs on ERAS, they didn't count twice for cat and advanced. I.e. If i selected 3 programs, cat and adv for each, it would say "you have selected 3 programs" (as opposed to 6).
