So this is what's happened in the last 2 weeks:

1) New Dean of medical school announced.
2) Old Dean of the medical school fired...sorry, "went on sabbatical". Announced in that order.
3) Current (New) Dean doesn't think women should be in medicine (I'm a guy and I don't agree with that).
4) ERAS coordinator fired...sorry, "asked to resign" due to "restructuring"
5) Current Dean of Student Affairs was in process of writing Dean's Letter. Date of completion 10/17
6) Announced that some ex-Dean of Student Affairs will be writing Dean's Letter. Date of start: 10/10
7) No word as to what's happened to the current Dean of Student Affairs
8) BTW we still don't have a Dean for Admissions (vacant since old one left for FSU 6/05)
9) Meanwhile, no formal word as to when the administration is going to starting thinking about the students. This sucks.

That definitely counts as a hardluck story. I am sorry. The "good news" is you are in the same boat as everyone else at your school. Any PD that doesn't learn about it soon and appreciate the gravity of the situation from your perspective you wouldn't want to work for!

That's a good point. I think that most PD's will be pretty reasonable. People in anesthesia seemed much more understanding and humane. They will probably remember you very well from your interview if you rise above it and no doubt you will.
