I have a burning question. When I am filling out the section of Publication on the ERAS application, I run into a problem. I listed the papers that have been published (I was not the 1st author in these papers). However, I also have two most recent papers ( I am the 1st author for both of them) which have be submited to journals and are under editorial review. Does anybody know if I can list the two "not yet published" papers on the publication section? If yes, should I fill out "Publication/Organization" with "in press" or with the names of the journals that I submitted the two papers to? If no, can I add any new publication later on to my ERAS application file after I have sent the ERAS applications to the programs?

I would put "submitted to (journal name)" in the publication/organization section. You might even put the date it was submitted, for example: "Submitted 7/15/03 to Journal of Bacteriology". And then leave the dates of publication, volume number, etc, blank. That's what I would do, anyway.

good idea! Thanks!
