What do programs base their criteria for interviews on? Is it better to submit ERAS and the transcript early ? Our deans letters don't go out until November, so do programs start reviewing our file before the deans letters? Also, suppos we are doing a sub-I for the month of September, is it better to submit the transcript after you get a grade for it or submit it early so that your chance for interviews are not delayed. I'm not doing an AI until next month, so my grade for that may not be ready until some time in October. That seems kind of late for requesting a transcript.
Just need some advice...
Thanks.

Early is better. Most programs will offer interviews well before dean's letter is out although there seem to be a few stragglers. I didn't have my sub-I grade in (did mine in August but grade wasn't in for a while) and it didn't matter to anyone. I think they assume everyone does well in their sub-I. I had a letter from that rotation though. I think it's okay to submit in early October. Programs usually won't offer interviews unless your application is complete, including all the letters.
