I know it is early, but I was wondering if you have to resubmit some forms for ERAS. For example, if you submit your transcript in September or October, do you have to resubmit the transcript again in February or March with updated grades? Thanks.

You can but most people don't. Assuming your clerkship and sub-I (or appropriate elective grades) for your specialty are on the transcript you submit, you'll be fine. If you have a sub-I in October and the grade won't be out until late November, just wait until it's in then submit it.

I agree that most people don't resubmit their transcripts but I don't know if I would wait until the end of November to submit them either. By that time, most people will already be lining up interviews and even interviewing at some programs. I don't know if programs would offer you an interview without them, perhaps they would, but why limit yourself...

I think the whole application process is a little similar in principle (but not exactly) to the med school app process... ie: get your stuff in early. Yes, some programs will still wait a bit for more apps to come in, but some will like what they see and start offering interview spots. If later on you want to resubmit your transcripts then that's fine... at least you haven't been sitting on your hands in the meantime. Plus, that gives you another opportunity to contact the programs you are most interested in and say, "I just wanted to inform you that I've updated my transcripts, etc. and that I still have a continued interest in your program... bla bla bla". Just my thoughts...
