Just to clarify- if I was on the leadership for a medical interest group such as radiology interest group and family medicine interest group, I discuss it in the 'volunteer' experiences section? And do I mention it in the section with 'membership in honorary/professional societies'?

I'd put it in volunteering. Definitely not professional societies.

thanks! one more question- I know it's been asked a lot, but how do you go about formatting the experiences section? Just a few sentences with action verbs? or bullet-style?

I did bullet style and essentially pulled it from my CV
