Ok so there's a question that asks, "Are you committed to fulfill a U.S. military active duty service obligations/deferments? Yes or No"


I just want to know precisely what it's asking (not from an English-standpoint), and what's the 'right' answer to put here?

EDIT: Also, In the "Other Awards/Accomplishments" section, do these have to be medically related?

Does the Army own your ass? Are you military educated/funded and do you need to do time in Mil Med following your residency?

The "right" answer depends on your answers to the above.

EDIT: Also, In the "Other Awards/Accomplishments" section, do these have to be medically related?

No. But unless it's Phi Beta Kappa, an Oscar/Emmy/Tony or a Fulbright/Rhodes (or something similar) nobody will really care. No reason not to put it down but it's not going to make or break your app.
