Hi Guys,
ERAS made a mistake and uploaded some old erroneous transcripts that have been fixed. I just put my app into 4 programs that have not uploaded my information yet. Can I withdraw from a program, then re-apply to the same program after they get the corrected, uploaded transcripts? What can I do, since the old ones are incorrect and not favorable - which will most likely keep me from matching into those programs?

You should contact ERAS directly about this. I do not believe that withdrawing will help you -- I think that the app will still be downloaded to the program, but marked as "withdrawn", which will look rather strange this early in the application season.

If this is truly an ERAS mistake, then they might be able to help you by "undoing" your applications. if it's your mistake, or your dean's office, or ECFMG, then they might not be so willing to help.

If you're a US grad, the best thing to do is get your dean's office to retransmit the transcript immediately -- this will instantly erase the old one and replace it with the new one. if you're using ECFMG, they're not so fast (although prehaps if this is their mistake, they will help you out).

Last case, if you do get rejected before it's fixed, get it fixed and then contact programs by email and explain the problem. They might consider taking another look.
