I can't imagine this is something a program would care about; a lot of people take a year or even more off between college and med school. I believe they only care if your med school education was interrupted or lasted longer than 4 years for any reason.
Isn't there a section in ERAS that asks if you took time off between undergrad and med school? No one will care, but you'll still have to put something in there.

if you did something worthwhile during your year off then it should show up somewhere on your app, usually in the experiences section. if you traveled or did something that is not relevant to the job you are applying for (i.e. residency) then you can stick it in hobbies or just leave it out.
