Hey guys...again..
So I just submitted by VMCAS today! Yay! It's due tomorrow (for me at least. the normal deadline is Oct 1st.) I'm applying to an early admit at Michigan State U. I realized that I made a mistake in my VMCAS after submitting it:scared:. The VMCAS instructs to list all prereq courses that you plan to take in the future- which I did for all my science prereqs, but forgot to mention that I was taking a history class this spring to fulfill the humanities requirement. I'm worried that this mistake will make me inelligible for admission. However, as part of the program, I have to submit my schedule of courses from the current semester up untill the semester of my graduation. So the adcoms will see that I'm taking the class in that schedule, but won't see it on my VMCAS. Is this a deal breaker?! I'm freaking out because I spent so much time on my application and $155! I emailed admissions, but I feel like I might just have a panic attack waiting for a reply. What do you guys think?

I wonder how many panic attacks you just set off. I read that and was a bit freaked myself.

As to the answer, I really don't know. Something niggles in my mind that you can send VMCAS a note or something for corrections but my wires may be crossed a bit with the histo studying...

Honestly - I wouldn't worry about it. Just call the school and explain the problem. The thing that they will care about is whether or not you actually have the course done on time - which you will.

darn, that first line really freaked me out 😵..........

I wouldn't be overly concerned. From my experience - most schools are very accommodating about these things. I would just shoot the school an email to let them know (if vmcas is unable to fix it for you).

When I applied, I had two things change in the planned courses section after I had submitted - and I just alerted the schools. They were fine with it and just asked me to send in my transcripts when I had completed it.

Good Luck!:luck:

Speaking of forgetting courses....I just realized a month after I submitted my VMCAS that I forgot to list my Spring 2010 courses, which include my second physics class and my junior writing class...anyone know what I should do? Does this automatically disqualify me from these schools?

Thank you so much for getting back to me! Just emailed everyone and I hope this works out! I'd hate to have wasted lots of money and time just to have messed it all up...
