Errors in LOR

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The thing is.. you ARE a pre-med, are you not?

Not understanding what the issue is there.

If there's only one word spelled wrong in the whole thing.. I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm not understanding why you would post something if you don't want it quoted.. it's still there, lol.

I know, but apparently you shouldn;t read LORs? I just got a bunch of PMs telling me I should take that down. I thought it was kosher, but I guess not. That plus my other posts can ID me if someone cared. You are right, but I was not planning on having so many warnings

some people here are too up tight and misinformed. You are required to waive your right to view the letter, but if someone shows it to you then that is up to them. There is nothing wrong with you seeing it if they decided to show it to you.

Agreed. Sorry you got numerous PMs about that.

request done... at $5/word.. 😀

It's recommended to waive ur right to read it, just so the LOR writer has greatest comfort, latitude in writing the letter without worrying about ur perception of it. Even if someone found out that u read it, be assured that u'll not get into trouble or anything... it's a recommendation, not a requirement, and the LOR carries a little more weight when u waive ur right...

Anyway, don't freak out and goodluck!

That's what I thought. Thanks, I didn't want to seem like a d*ck, but I thought I had done something really bad by accident. I am a premed, but she says "..why I think lmarina1 would be accepted to your premedical program" instead of medical...jeez... ignorance is bliss

Ooh, I see what you mean now. I assumed she was just talking about you being a pre-med. That's kinda weird.
