Heard of it? Thoughts, opinions; comments? Is it real? Is it a misdiagnosis of Raynaud's or something similar?

For those who are familiar with it, are you of the opinion that it can be idiopathic or is there always an underlying cause whether specifically identifiable or not? What would be the significance of hyperaggregation of platelets in regards to diagnosing or coming to suspect a causative underlying condition?
