I think the one every uses is essayedge.com. I heard they do a pretty good job. It's still up to you to present interesting ideas into your essay--they just make it easier to read/flow better. It's more of a revision and editing service than anything.

So far, it seems to be pretty good. I use essayrx.com.

I have used both of them. I realy like www.essayrx.com because I feel like they take their time to really help you craft the right essay. Also, they are cheapest one on the internet. But, even if they weren't, I'd still use them. Because I feel like the work they've done for me improved my chances. But, if you don't want to spend like 70 bucks, save your money and find a friend that can help you.

A friend of mine that applied this year to law school used www.essayrx.com and really like it because they assigned her an editor that is also a second year law student. And the editor that i've used is starting medical school this fall or is already in, can't remember. Either way, it's nice to have someone that's part of the process. Also, both of the editors that are creative writers, so they not just fixing grammar, they help you find better and more creative ways of expressing yourself.

But, like my duck friend wrote, save your money if you want and get a friend, but definitely get someone to read over your essay. I think it's best to get someone that knows what your readers want. This is not an English class essay. These readers aren't looking for the same things that our profs will be looking for. They will give our essays a quick read. So, make sure that your first line grabs these people. So, I guess that's why I chose an editing service because they've been through the process and know what's expected and how to get the attention of readers.

Hey, why not just email the editor that I used to find out if it would be a good option for you. His address is wanger@essayrx.com He's a cool guy and will give you a straight answer. Give it try.

use sdn editors.

👍 Free, you can't beat that.
Plus you'll never get as many people to peruse your statement through a fee service, it would be cost prohibitive for them to do so.

if you look at writing as an art, then, no, essay editing services are not beneficial. they destroy self expression. trust me, ive done that to many tutee's essays. hahaha. but seriously, your personal statement is a chance for you to express yourself. if you cant find the inspiration or just think that your essay doesnt do justice to who you really are, then maybe and essay editing service will turn out okay.

note: this does not mean that someone cannot proofread your essay but there is a difference between changing grammar/spelling and changing style/content.

Thanks for all the information...i will take a look at essayedge and essayrx... 🙂
