Discuss a solution to the problems resulting from insufficient supplies of donated human organs.
Health care and technology advancement has grown exponentially over the past few decades. However, these are not enough to solve every patient's illness. One problem that remains is the lack of donated human organs. This problem can be fixed through stem cell implementation and incentives.
One way to solve the problem is to find an alternative way to supply for human organs. Stem cell research is an on-going study that will play a major role in human organ development. Stem cells function in a way that is similar to regeneration. Once injected into a damaged organ, the cells will differentiate as the organ's cell and become a part of it. It is a remarkable process; however, it is yet to be complete. But with enough time and sufficient funding, stem cells will provide enough organs for patients.
Another way to solve the insufficient supply is to provide incentives. Studies show that only 12 percent of the human population donates and 10 percent of donations are directly from family members. But if the government offered cheaper health insurance and more benefits, more people would be willing to donate.
Although there are currently an insufficient amount of donated human organs, this can be changed through stem-cell development and incentives. Perhaps, after the implementation of these solutions, the lack of supply will be a thing of the past.
