If your lab work was important in helping you decide on dentistry or inspired you in some way then keep it. If you saying "in addition to keeping a high gpa i did other stuff like volunteering, intermural sports, even worked in a lab" keep it cos it supports you as a solid candidate. If its just to say "yeah i did some lab work" then take it out.
Besides when the committees look at your application, they see everything, and if its important it doesn't hurt mentioning it in both places.........just don't try and highlight a single event too much
