Hello, I was wondering if someone can help me approximate square root values in a time efficient manners for the chem component of the DAT.

For solutions involving weak acid and weak bases, some calculations require square roots of decimal numbers , ex. square root of 6.5 or square root of 1.5. How can I go about finding a close approximation ?

When I took my DAT, numbers were pretty generous. But if you are trying to do square root of 6.5, i would think 2^2 = 4 3^2= 9 so approximate to 2<x<3 so ~2.5
For 1.5, 1^1 = 1 2^2 = 4 since 1.5 is closer to 1, I would approximate it near 1.2.
