Hey all,

I just want to confirm from you what I've gathered here about estrogen:

Estrogen increases cholesterol synthesis by upregulating the activity of HMC COA reductase, increasing the risk for cholesterol stones. However, counter intuitively, it protects against atherosclerosis because it increases HDL and decreases LDL.
Estrogen also increases coagulability.

Is this correct?

It causes fusion of the epiphyseal growth plate ( Testosterone does this too through conversion to oestrogen ).
It Increases the synthesis of Steroid Hormone Binding Globulins.
