I wonder if anyone can tell me how hard is it going to beto return to Canada or US to practice?
any thoughts or help would be so much appreciated.

And I wonder the reverse!

Once when I was in Sienna, Italy, I was strolling up one of the super narrow streets, in a neighborhood away from the more touristy streets. And what do I come upon? A small dental office owned by an American DDS. Could this be? They were not open because I almost knocked down the locked door trying to rush in and talk him into hiring me!

👍😀

There will be many problems... you will be an international graduate and still must comply with US and/or Canada licensure. Most require you to graduate from a US/Canada accrediated school or a special program. Each state in the US is different.... check on the internation dental threads here to see the problems and about the 2 and 3 year programs and problems getting into them

I'd also like to hear about American trained dentists operating outside the US.

You might as well just go to school in the states, because you will probably have to attend an international program at a US dental school after getting your BDS from a european school. These programs are really competitive, like 90+ on NBDE
part I and you have to graduate at the top of your class in europe.

Anywhere in the world that is mice to live in and dentists can make a good living will be competitive to obtain licensure. Bottom line... Obtain your dental degree in the country that you most prefer to work in afterwards.
