As YouDontKnowJack did the experiment with the NBME test with FA, if we can do the same experiments with did different sets of review books on NBME tests, we may get a better idea which set of books or which review book are the best. Any thoughts on this?

Waste of time. Those questions are a small sample from a huge database. YOu cannot use those to deduce the best books. Just stick to what others already know. There are several books that are bread and butter - FA, BRS path, phys, some High-yields, q-bank. Just study those instead of running experiments and you will be fine. Other than that, look at the list of books that people post and see which ones are continuously on these lists. This forums has a sticky with book recommendations, gotmedbook.com's guide has a list, prep4usmle and a couple of other websites have these lists (google).

my two cents.
