Did any of you receive interviews from schools the first year you applied and not the second year? Georgetown and NYMC interviewed me last year, and not this year. -Seems bizarre since I improved my application substantially. Thanks for your help, and please do not move this post to the pre-allo forum, as it was intended to be posted here.

You have to realize that every year the applicant pool changes. It could be that this year those schools you mentioned got much more qualified applicants. This is not the most likely scenario.

I will give you a better explanation. The ADCOM changes from year to year. Maybe there's a new dean of admissions. Maybe those schools have student representatives on the ADCOM like my school does. These students sometimes have agendas of their own and try to cast their votes based on their own politics.
