In terms of using people's experiences on Step 1 as a resource, I thought that everyone received a different test on test day? Or do people taking it on the same day get the same test?

Does the NBME try to make the difficulty of each person's test consistent? For example, if A gets 10 Level 5 biochem questions, will B also get 10 Level 5 biochem questions?

Is Step 1 like the GRE CBT where they adjust your questions on the fly based on how you're doing?

I feel like a noob asking these questions so if someone could point me to a FAQ that'd be fine 😛

USMLE has like a paragraph about Step 1: http://www.usmle.org/Examinations/step1/step1.html

Exams are different. I guess its possible you could get some of the same questions, but probably in different blocks (if at all?).

They don't adjust on the fly

Don't feel like a noob 🙂
