Is it just me or are the verbal passages in this book not indicative of the real test? I'm consistently getting 11s on the practice AAMCs but for the mini MCAT verbal passages I get half of the questions wrong for some passages. The questions seem more ambigious and the passages themselves seem like they're at least 50% longer than the AAMC passages. Anyone else get this feeling when doing these passages?

I noticed that the answers listed in the box in front of every test's answer section have mistakes (at least in my version of the book). I would mark the answer I put down as wrong only to find out it was right when I read the explanation for the answers. Weird.

Trying to correlate a score from any practice test or passage from any company (except AAMC itself) to an actual MCAT result is a fruitless excercise.

If you are getting practice taking verbal passages under timed conditions, and you are getting a little paranoid reading question stems and answer choices, and you are comfortable with the process of "i don't know - guess - move on", then you are picking up valuable skills that will improve your performance on your MCAT.
