I've not done the 1001 series yet, but the scoring is a bit easier on the EK. For verbal 101 book it is like the aamc exams. But for the science subjects for example to get a 11, in the EK books you need about 78% of questions correct, compared to 80-83 for aamc. And for a 9 you need 65% correct on EK compared to 70-74% correct on AAMC.

I've not done any AAMC tests, but based on opinions gathered the EK 30 mins and 1001 series is harder as far as question difficulty than the aamc. Based on this...do you think the easier grading scale balances the more difficult questions encounted in the EK series. Or should I +/- 1, 2, etc. points to the EK scores for a more accurate judgement.

You shouldn't really use EK's 30 minute or 1001/101 for the scores. It's about taking practice passages and finding your weaknesses. Use your FLs to gauge your score. Your AAMC FL average is usually pretty close to your actual score.

I agree with SN2. EK 30 minute tests are actually very challenging (at least for me), and they are great tools to see if you have mastered a specific area of content.
