ExamKrackers' 1001 series looks really appealing because of all the practice problems, but I'm worried if they'll be relevant to the 2015 MCAT exam? Should I purchase them or an alternative review series for practice problems?

The series was never super representative of the test questions themselves, but it is absolutely helpful in uncovering weaknesses.

Is there a series that you would recommend that is representative of MCAT test questions? I purchased the Princeton Review's 2015 MCAT book to review content, but I would like more practice,

Because it's a new exam, I would start with official AAMC MCAT 2015 material. https://www.aamc.org/students/applying/mcat/mcat2015/

I've poked around, and it's all really good stuff.

But I have no personal experience with the new MCAT (except taking a trial section during my exam). Perhaps someone else can speak more authoritatively on the nature of the new exam questions and how it relates to previous exams. The bio, physics, and verbal sections are likely very similar to old stuff. Who knows what the new sections are like. I will say that my social sciences section was relatively basic common knowledge stuff if you have a rudimentary grasp of stats--I didn't study it (obviously), but scored in >75th%. I probably mostly missed questions about specific social science definitions.

Selling Examkrackers MCAT complete study package (7th Edition). Books include Chemistry, Physics, Organic Chemistry, Biology, Verbal Reasoning and Techniques. Please pass along to anyone!

Price is reasonable.

No prep company is offering practice material that is representative of the test - all the posts in the MCAT forum indicate that all major prep companies' practice tests are way off. Use them to test your knowledge of the subject material, but only look to AAMC materials to get an actual representation of the test.

Keep in mind that I took the OLD MCAT, but I thought EK were best used for content review. They really did a good job keeping it purely about the scientific content. At first, I didn't want to buy them because they had a stupid generic Ritz cracker as their "mascot," but don't let this fool you: the books themselves are pretty good.

It helps to review underlying concepts. It's good for practice.

I used EK for the old mcat and loved it but not sure how relevant it is for the new exam. Khan academy looks like it has good material for 2015 test. I'd start there if I had to take again...
